She Escaped From Hungary, And Now She’s a ‘2015 Professional Woman of the Year’

She made a daring escape with her family from Hungary in 1956, and now
Mary H. Metcalfe has been recognized as a National Association of
Professional Women VIP Woman of the Year for her “outstanding leadership
and commitment within her profession.”
Mrs. Metcalfe, the wife of
Australian Christian businessman, Alan Metcalfe, is the CFO / Director
of Metcalfe Holdings Pty Ltd. and Safe Worlds Internet Television, Inc.
According to a news release from
PRWeb, she is recognized with this prestigious distinction for
“leadership in business.” As the largest, most-recognized networking
organization of professional women in the country, spanning virtually
every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional

Mary Metcalfe’s life story reads
like an epic drama. After escaping from Hungary as a child at the
height of the country’s historical revolution in 1956, Mary and her
family found a safe haven in Brisbane, Australia.
“We sailed to Melbourne on the
famed Lloyd Triestino, where we all celebrated my tenth birthday,”
remembers Mrs. Metcalfe, whose name was then Maria. Upon docking, she
would thereafter be known as Mary, in anticipation of her new life in an
English-speaking country.
Since that time, Mrs. Metcalfe
and her husband Alan have combined their collective efforts to open many
successful business ventures during their 49 years of marriage. Today,
she is a celebrated company director and international businesswoman.
Mrs. Metcalfe is the CFO /
Director of Metcalfe Holdings Pty Ltd. (MHPL), which includes Jandol Pty
Ltd, Harp Bankers Brokers & Traders and associated companies:
Internet Business Systems, Inc. (IBS) and Safe Worlds Internet
Television, Inc. Safe Worlds TV is the flagship of the group. HarpBBT is
the Metcalfe's operating entity specializing in public company
startups. Mrs. Metcalfe was also the publisher of Townsville Woman
Magazine for three years, and one of three women selected to represent
Australia for the United Nations' Year of the Woman.
Mrs. Metcalfe and her husband
are currently focusing on Safe Worlds TV’s planned public listing and
IPO to fund the worldwide expansion of their revolutionary internet
