From Teacher Of The Year To Forced Resignation

From Teacher Of The Year To Forced Resignation
The following is a prayer request from a Christian in Uzbekistan:
My sister, who became a believer about 10 years ago, is very dedicated and committed to her job. She works as a teacher at the local middle school. In fact, she was chosen by the Department of Education to receive the '"Teacher of the Year" award a couple of years ago. She was even featured in local newspaper articles for this achievement.
Recently, she received a notification to visit her director’s office. Her headmistress shared that she had received a letter from the superior department requiring her to fire my sister from her job! The headmistress and most of the teachers know that my sister is a believer. Knowing this, they respect her very much and say that she's a very conscientious, hard worker – but still she was asked to resign!
It is difficult to know if she should write a statement of resignation on her own, or try to fight and protect her rights! Could you please pray that the Father would give us wisdom in this situation? We do not know what to do.
One With Them
Please be One With Them today as you join in this prayer:
Lord Jesus, today I pray for my fellow Christians who face difficult decisions because they believe in You. I pray specifically for this sister, asking that she would remain strong, and for wisdom as she seeks Your direction. Please fill her up with your compassion and understanding as she then proceeds to carry out Your plan. Lord, only You know this sister’s heart as well as the hearts of all those involved in the school’s decision. The request for her resignation did not come as a surprise to You. And You have already seen the outcome of this situation. Thank You, Lord, for Your guidance. Amen.
